The Strong Firm P.C. is a boutique business law firm located in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, Texas. The firm was founded in 2004 by Managing Shareholder, Bret L. Strong, who has held ties to The Woodlands community for over 30 years. The firm was intentionally designed to serve clients locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, with a “high-touch” client focused practice. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to local sole proprietors. The firm is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to add to our team! The position opportunity is associate attorney position (2-7 year) handling all facets of business transactions and commercial disputes, with potential exposure to our core practice areas, including: Real Estate Law, Business Law, Oil, Gas & Energy Law, Estate Planning & Probate Law, Commercial Litigation and Disputes, and Employment Law.
Responsibilities:
Drafting and negotiation of practice area contracts and documents
Handling of legal disputes in practice area matters
Meeting firm’s minimum billable hours annually
Performing administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Involvement in firm activities and community activities to build relationships externally
Qualifications:
License to practice law in Texas
Experience in business-related matters
Strong skills in management and service of clients
Understanding of a team environment and essential skills and tasks related to effective ownership of firm reputation and profitability
Ability to efficiently handle multiple assignments
Strong interpersonal skills (with clients and internally with staff)
Be a team player able to work well and communicate effectively (internally and externally)
Qualifications to Make You Stand Out and Increase Potential Compensation:
Top 20% of law school class
Portable business and/or existing relationships with clients in core practice areas
Ability to develop business in core practice areas
Connection to local community through participation in civic and non-profit organizations
Advanced technical skills in one or more core practice areas
Additional license to practice in other jurisdictions in core practice areas (e.g., Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, and/or Wyoming)
Mediation certification in Texas
